  • KELSEY HOPKINS

Kelsey began her career in the film photography industry in 2015 as a lab technician at her local lab after being a loyal customer. She then went on to managing and training the team members within her first year in the position, while gaining extensive knowledge from industry professional.

Throughout the four years in her position she continued to independently grow and expand her knowledge to better help and support her local film community before starting her own lab in 2019.

Lovely Film Lab was a passion project with the aim to support and create further film communities for the southcoast area where opportunities were not yet available. After many years and two pandemics she decided to close the labs doors in July 2021 to focus on her own personal projects and provide education opportunities.

In February 2022 Kelsey began to work for Rewind Photo Lab to help support their explanation to Wollongong and further support the established community needing local services. With the Rewind Team she continues to offer opportunities for education and access to professional and high quality services.

With more time for personal projects Kelsey Hopkins has returned to documenting images of her home town and the changes that the community and council play on the lives of the people and families.
